Arsenal Reject Ambitious Chelsea Swap-Deal

Arsenal have rebuffed an ambitious swap-deal offer from Chelsea, that would see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain move to Stamford Bridge as part of Petr Cech’s imminent transfer to the North London giants.

Jose Mourinho has made his intention not to sell goalkeeper Cech to a Premier League target and even hinted that he would search for players in any interested party that he could deem valuable to his squad- and it appears Oxlade-Chamberlain fit the bill.

However, the Daily Mirror state that Arsenal value the 21-year-old England international as a huge part of their future and are not willing to include any players in an exchange deal with the Premier League champions, as they look to complete a £10m cash-only deal instead.

Whilst Mourinho doesn’t want Cech to move to the Gunners, he has admitted the situation is out of his hands- as Chelsea have promised to honour Cech’s wishes as a thank you for eleven-years of dedicated services to the Blues in their most decorated period in history.
