Chelsea have officially announced two pieces of business the afternoon, as the Premier League champions add to their talented squad whilst also sending a young player out on-loan for valuable first-team experience.
Jose Mourinho’s side have finally announced a season long loan deal with Monaco for Radamel Falcao, who spent last year on-loan at Manchester United, following a delay due to Colombia’s involvement in the Copa America.
The South American scored just four goals for United last season but Mourinho insisted he would do what he could to help Falcao find his true form in England, whilst the player expressed his delight at joining the English champions:
‘I am very happy to be joining Chelsea and can’t wait to start training and help with our aim of retaining the league title and being successful in Europe.”
Meanwhile, the Blues confirmed that 20-year-old Croatian midfielder Mario Pasalic would be moving the other way, joining Monaco on-loan for the 2015/16 season. The international midfielder made his bow for his nation in October and spent last year in Spain with Elche.
