Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are set to go head-t0-head in the transfer market next month for the signature of Aston Villa’s in-form forward Christian Benteke.
The £32m-rated striker will be allowed to leave Villa Park at the end of the season, with it likely he will make the jump to one of the Premier League’s elite outlets.
Benteke has scored 11 goals in 12 games under Tim Sherwood, fighting back from an achilles injury that forced him to miss last summer’s World Cup, whilst his goals have seen him put Villa on the brink of relegation safety and into the FA Cup final against holders Arsenal.
Villa will not stand in the way of the player if he decides to leave the Midlands outfit this summer but he has stated that his decision will be made after next month’s international break.
