League Two betting preview
Mansfield v Oxford
Mansfield go into this game having lost three of their last four meetings against the O’s, all of which came in the Football Conference. There have been no draws in the last nine matches between these two, with Oxford victorious five times to Mansfield’s four. Surprisingly, Oxford have scored 11 second half goals away from home this season, more than any other League Two club and the second half to be the highest scoring half is best priced at 5/4 with bwin.
Oxford have conceded just once in their last five League Two games, in the defeat to Bristol Rovers last time out and if you fancy them to keep a clean sheet, they are best priced at 29/10 to do so with Coral.
Bet – Oxford to win to nil. Available at 9/4 with Sporting Bet.
Northampton v Fleetwood
The Cobblers have won both of the home games against Fleetwood, their last encounter in the league (3-1) and in the FA Cup in 2009 (2-1). The Cod Army have scored in all three of their games against Northampton, but have won just once (L2). Both teams to score is best priced at 5/6 with BetVictor. Interestingly, Northampton have won just one of their seven games at Sixfields this season, and find themselves in the midst of a relegation dog fight. Northampton are best priced at 5/2 with BetVictor to win against Fleetwood however you can’t bet against the league leaders.
Bet – Fleetwood to win – 5/4 with Stan James
Wycombe v Cheltenham
Wycombe have won just two of their last 13 games against Cheltenham, drawing seven and losing four (in all competitions). Wycombe are best priced at 11/8 with bet365. Cheltenham’s only league win at Adams Park came in the 2005/06 League Two Playoffs, though they have lost just once (D4). They are on offer at 11/5 with BetVictor for the win. Byron Harrison has found the net in his last three league appearances for Cheltenham and is available at 15/2 with bet365 to score first and 5/2 with Betfred to score any time.
Bet – Draw, best priced at 5/2 with bet365.
York City v Plymouth
York have lost just one of the last 12 games at Bootham Crescent against the Pilgrims (W5 D6). Astonishingly, the away team has scored on just one occasion in the last ten meetings between York and Plymouth (York 1-2 Plymouth in March 2001). If you fancy York to keep a clean sheet, they are on offer at 21/10 with Coral to do so. The Pilgrims have kept a clean sheet in each of their last four games, but have scored just twice. Under 2.5 goals is available at 11/10 with BetVictor, whilst Plymouth to keep a clean sheet is best priced at 21/10 with Coral.
Bet – Draw and under 2.5 goals, best priced at 11/4 with Ladbrokes
