Manchester City are readying a monumental player and cash deal to secure Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, as they look to beat the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid to the 22-year-old’s signature.
According to the Mirror, The Citizens have opened negotiations with the Serie A giants regarding the French international, following in the footsteps of PSG and Los Blancos, who approached the player in recent weeks.
Pogba, who won the Young Player Of The Tournament at last summer’s World Cup, is highly-regarded as one of the most exciting players currently in European football- which has made City desperate to secure his signature.
The Citizens are targeting a major squad overhaul this summer after a disappointing season, with Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic linked with an exit- and any one of those could be used in a deal for Pogba.
France star Pogba, who left Manchester United for Turin as a teenager, has also attracted the attention of Chelsea and Barcelona, who could both still enter the market.
Pogba missed the Champions League semi-final victory over Real Madrid on Tuesday due to injury but reports state his agent met with Real Madrid earlier in the day.
