The Football Republic have released a hilarious parody film trailer mimicking Hollywood’s hit The Wolf Of Wall Street, starring transfer chief Ed Woodward instead of Leonardo Di Caprio.
The video follows an exciting weekend for Manchester United fans, where the club captured three players- with Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger both being announced just hours before the club’s flight to North America for a pre-season tour.
The duo join Matteo Darmian, who signed over the weekend, and Memphis Depay as the new boys at Old Trafford, with United spending in excess of £70m in the first 13 days of the summer transfer market.
It’s a vast difference to the situation of the previous years, where big money signings failed to impress- but this year Ed Woodward is the hero. Read the synopsis for the parody movie below.
Based on the true story of Ed Woodward, the Wolf of Old Trafford follows the Manchester United chairman’s from accountant to the man in charge of the biggest club in the world, dominating the transfer market and living the high life. Coming to a cinema near you never!
