Monaco & Sevilla Battle For Stoke Midfielder

Stoke City face a fight on their hands to keep hold of Steven N’Zonzi, as Monaco and Sevilla are both chasing the player and are set to offer him Champions League football for the upcoming season.

26-year-old N’Zonzi has just one-year remaining on his contract and could be lured to either of the sides, with Monaco looking to rebuild their squad and Sevilla looking to strengthen ahead of their Champions League campaign, which follows back-to-back Europa League success.

Stoke have already rejected two bids for N’Zonzi, with The Daily Mirror stating Leicester City have had a £7m bid rejected, whilst Sevilla’s first approach with an offer of £3m was quickly knocked-back by the Staffordshire side.

N’Zonzi himself is said to be keen on a move to Sevilla but a return to French football is on the cards, following his spell at Amiens- which he left in 2007 to join Blackburn Rovers, before signing for Stoke three years ago.
