The Premier League Crack Down on Ticket Touts With Ben Hanlin
The Premier League have teamed up with Magician Ben Hanlin who has performed tricks on unsuspecting fans, Sky Sports Soccer Saturday pundits (Jeff Stelling, Paul Merson, Matt LeTissier, Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thompson) and former Manchester United player Quinton Fortune in order to raise public awareness of the problem of Ticket Touting.
Hanlin performs a number of mind-blowing magic tricks across the country including on the unsuspecting Sky Sports panel to play on the fact that it is so easy to be tricked by ticket touts on match day.
Ticket touts are individuals who are independently selling tickets to fans and will often ask for more than twice the price of the face value for tickets to sold out fixtures. Unfortunately, on many occasions, the tickets are fraudulent and those who are trying to enter the ground will be turned away at the turnstile. Since these ticket touts are unrelated to the official ticketing partners of the Premier League, there will be no way of getting a refund on your purchases.
The magician also stuns ex-Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune with yet another unexplainable trick.
With the profile of the English game growing by the season, the sale of fake and fraudulent tickets is an ever-growing issue in the country. To avoid disappointment, the Premier League is urging fans to buy match tickets directly from Premier League clubs and their official ticketing partners only.
